TALENTED young greyhound Her Highness continued on her winning way at Devonport yesterday where she scored her third win in succession.

The Keith Nichols-trained bitch went into the race having won two in succession on the Hobart track in grades four and five company and this was her first attempt in a grade five over 452m at Devonport.

She began well from box four but not as well as No Yes Know (Robert Gourlay) that flew the lids from box six and held sway by almost three lengths leaving the top turn.

No Yes Know looked to be travelling comfortably turning for home but when Her Highness slipped into overdrive she quickly lessened the margin and went on to defeat that dog by almost two lengths with Shotgun Willy third just in advance of Take Up Tracey.

Her Highness, owned in Victoria by Paul Westerveld, has an impressive record of five wins and three minor placings from her 10 Tasmanian starts for just over $8000 in stakes.

It was the first leg of a winning double for Nichols who prepared Revelator, also owned by Westerveld, to win the following race (6) over 452m.

Revelator was forced to work hard early outside of dogs to the top and he was kept wide turning for home but he powered home to score comfortably.

It was an impressive win and a great training performance by Nichols who prepared the dog to win over 599 metres five days earlier in Hobart.
