GREAT box manners proved to be the key to He’s All Class scoring an impressive all-the-way win in the $7500 Gold Collar final over 515 metres at the UBET Racing Centre in Launceston tonight.
Veteran trainer David Crosswell had three finalists and they were all litter siblings (Magic Sprite-She’s All Class) in Classy Petal, He’s All Class and Amity Class that started from boxes two, one and three respectively.
Classy Petal was favourite on the strength of her heat win but He’s All Class also had strong support courtesy of the inside box.
He’s All Class flew the lids from box one and when Classy Petal and Amity Class were both severely checked before the first turn and put out of business it was left to He’s All Class to carry the can for the kennel.
Lil’ Miss Marny looked likely to make a race of it turning for home but He’s All Class kept finding and went on to defeat Lil’ Miss Marny by over two lengths with Fabulous Gem a fast-finishing third.
It was He’s All Class’s sixth win from only 10 starts and the prizemoney doubled his career tally to over $15,000.
