YOUNG pup Octane Assassin (R1) has the greyhound industry abuzz after his first start win at Devonport last Tuesday in a sizzling 25.43.

Tonight he lines up for his second start in a juvenile at Tattersall’s Park and trainer Doug Cassidy from Newnham is hoping for a repeat performance.

This son of Pure Octane jumped brilliantly to lead at Devonport and if he jumps again from the pink he will be very hard to beat.

Wild Weekend for Len Howard and Trump This both recent winners at Launceston look the hardest to beat.

Debbie Cannan’s High Choice (R5) should again be hard to beat in the Invitation.

Last week’s run was enormous after securing a late rail run to hold off the fast finishing Cradoc Park and record her 25th career win.

Kennelmate Sultan’s Swing and Ronray Bomber will be her main opposition tonight.

The M A Morgan Stakes (R7) has attracted a top field of Grade 3 dogs.

Luke’s A Missile trained by Alan Clark at Burnie is the dog to beat after his terrific Derby win in Launceston.

Casso Mac George again for Doug Cassidy has the ability to lead and will be hard to catch but if the Missile jumps he should prove too strong in the run home.

Daegan (R10) should be given another chance by punters in the last. After a two month let up his first two at Devonport were inglorious however he has been working well and just needs a bit of luck at box rise.

Best Bets: R1 # 8 Octane Assassin, R5 # 2 High Choice, R7 # 4 Luke’s A Missile.

Best E/W: R3 # 3 Top Choice, R8 # 7 Shanlyn Sparky, R9 # 4 Cool Avenger.
