REGENT Meteor (R2) should break through for his first win at Tattersall’s Park tonight at his seventh start on the track after a frustrating four seconds and two thirds.

This son of Collision won at Devonport in August and has also been placed in Launceston and in a tight market looks great value at $4.

Sirrom’s Choice looms as his main danger while Bashy’s Boy and Adam’s Daddy should be taken in the multiples.

Mangalore trainer Mick Stringer has another good young pup in his care, Sweet Julia (R5).

This daughter of Brett Lee won her juvenile by 7 ¾ lengths last week at only her second start and recorded a smart time of 26.22, from box eight tonight she should get a clear run and will take plenty of catching.

Ice Krystals and Hez Regal will be her main opposition.

Proven Octane (R9) for Dromedary trainer Bruce Drake has little form to recommend on recent starts, however given any luck in running this free striding son of Pure Octane is capable of a bold showing at juicy odds, while Superior Lomar (R10) could also be great value in an even race.

Best Bets: R2 # 7 Regent Meteor, R5 # 8 Sweet Julia, R7 # 7 Elite Strike.

Best E/W: R4 # 3 Cope, R6 # 3 Ridicule, R9 # 2 Proven Octane.
