RIALTO Boy looks an improving type and from the pink box should make it two in a row in race five on the ten event card at Tattersall’s Park tonight.
Trained at Mangalore by Mick Stringer this son of Primo Uno has been racing extremely well and looks likely to keep maturing over the next couple of months.
He won at his last start at Devonport but it was his last win here that showed he is a very capable young pup.
Jumping from eight he beat Blue Buddy by 2 ½ in 26.67 and Blue Buddy has since made that run look impressive in winning by 13 lengths.
Proven Shiraz and Kialdu Donna who won impressively Monday night at Launceston will be his main opposition.
High Choice (R7) was unlucky when squeezed early in last week’s run and eventually finished fourth to the front running Perfect Socks.
Tonight she has to contend with the five box but she is such a terrific bitch that given an ounce of luck early should secure a spot on the rails and be too good in the run to the post.
Rocket Moss was also unlucky last week going down by a nose in the grade three and will be hard to beat while Master Bart had a huge win at Launceston on Monday night and should be kept safe.
Stonecat (R8) looks an each way special in the second leg of the double for Mowbray trainer Reg Dickenson.
Best Bets: R6 No 8 Rialto Boy R7 No 5 High Choice, R10 No 1 Emmy’s Magic.
Best E/W: R4 No 3 Arizona King, R5 No 1 Callamac Blaze, R8 No 6 Stonecat.
