BRIGHTON trainer John Luttrell believes his two-year-old filly Geegees Hot Hussie should be unbeaten.
Geegees Hot Hussie notched her second career win in the Skykoski 2YO Handicap over 1100 metres at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston today
It was the Wordsmith filly’s fourth start and her second win on the Launceston track.
The race favourite Frolicked (David Fisher) began well and shared the lead with the heavily backed first-starter Bon Bonito (Ismail Toker) and they matched motors for the first 600 metres but with such a slow pace being set the rider of Geegees Hot Hussie, David Pires, opted to circumnavigate the field and take up the running nearing the home turn.
Geegees Hot Hussie sped clear and went on to win comfortably from Frolicked with Bob Bonito a close-up third.
