TALENTED middle distance greyhound Howzat Grace delivered another explosive performance in Hobart last night to easily win a graded event over 599 metres.

The Neville Allison-trained bitch has always shown above average ability but her poor box manners had been preventing her from realising her potential.

But stepping her up to the middle distances has given her a greater chance of winning and such was the case in Hobart last night.

Howzat Grace began tardily from box two and had most of the field ahead of her as they sped down the back stretch but when she slipped into third gear she quickly rounded up her rivals and had then covered turning for home.

In the home straight she increased her lead and went on to score by seven lengths from Trudels with Rocky Royalty almost four lengths astern.

Howzat Grace, owned by her breeder Karlene Cuthbertson, has amassed eight wins and seven minor lacings from 21 starts and there should be plenty more wins to come now that she has proven herself over the middle distances.
