TASMANIAN bred greyhound Howzat Grace delivered her best performance so far when she blitzed her rivals in a juvenile event over 452 metres at the Devonport Showground this afternoon (Tuesday).

Howzat Grace was having only her fourth start and had already earned a reputation as a slow beginner but when she had the leader in her sights soon after the start those who took the $3.10 on offer were making their way to the payout windows.

Howzat Grace stormed to the lead near the home turn and went on to score by over seven lengths from Buckle Up Jordy with Zero Interest almost four lengths away third.

She stopped the clock at a sizzling 25.53 which was clearly the quickest over the 452 metres on the 11-event program.

Earlier in the day her litter brother Private Riley scored an impressive win in a juvenile to give him three wins from his past four starts.

The litter siblings were bred by prominent owner-breeder Karlene Cuthbertson who put her home-bred broodbitch Icy Popsicle to her former star stayer Thirteen Black that she also bred.

Listen to what trainer Neville Allison had to say about Howzat Grace and her litter brother Private Riley.
