Young pup In The Book for trainer Joan Nichols looks set to make it two wins from two starts in Race 2 tonight at Tattersall’s Park.

This son of Knocka Norris won his first start easily at Devonport beating consistent performer Flukey Pines by six lengths.

Having qualified for next week’s breeders series at Devonport he will use this run for more experience but still should be too classy for his opposition.

Only Debree and Scrawny will run their usual honest races.

Canadian Bay and Barcelona Sun should be a good quinella in Race 3 over the 599. Canadian Bay will enjoy jumping from the middle and should take up a good position and is proven over this trip while Barcelona Sun although untried at the distance has won two at Bulli over the 515.

Bold Water (R10) should also make it two from two after a polished fourteen length victory last week.

Tonight the opposition looks stronger with the consistent Queen of Speed and Pele to contend with but his box manners should see him lead again and be hard to run down.

Best Bets: R2 No 6 In The Book, R5 No 3 Costa, R10 No 6 Bold Water.

Best E/W: R6 No 7 Franklin Bluboy, R7 No 1 Shadow Reef, R8 No 4 Sofia Elise.
