Industry breeding workshops a must

THE Australian Standardbred Breeding Panel is pleased to release the venue and date details for the Breeding Industry Workshops to be conducted in early 2011.

The overwhelming response to the breeding industry survey and submission project has highlighted the need to extend the workshops beyond the major racing centre in each State, with multiple workshops now planned in each State. Locations have been selected based on the geographical location of respondents to the survey and submission.

Invitations to attend the workshops will be extended to all persons who provided both survey and submission responses in the coming days.

Workshops will consider and explore the opportunities and challenges highlighted by the survey and submission responses to date, including:

Costs

Leveling the playing field

Education, Training and Accreditation

Additional rewards and incentives for breeders

Marketing and Promotion to encourage breeding and horse ownership

Workshops will be conducted at the following locations on the following dates:

TOTE Racing Centre, Launceston Tuesday, January 18 2011.

TattersallsPark, Glenorchy, Hobart Wednesday, January 19.
