A very even field faces the starter in the feature race on the greyhound program at the TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight.
With most of the runners drawn upside down punters should get great value. Emerald Lee had no luck from the same box last week but should get a lot of help from Brumby Bomber, a brilliant beginner, which is drawn on her inside.
Veteran Tadmore Dunoon is a chance along with Hollyheath, resuming from a spell, Director which has early speed and Nooee’s Lad which is best drawn but not racing as well as he was.
Punters should get off to a good start with the David Crosswell trained Dominator Girl which made an impressive debut winning at Devonport last Tuesday.
Hold On Coupe (Eileen Thomas) and Skaife (Butch Deverell) appear the hardest to beat.
The value bet is Terror Time in race three.
Trained at Bagdad by wily mentor Rodney Walker she runs on very stoutly in her races and should be suited over the 600m trip.
Hi Bella (Dennis Turner) is from a good litter and should be prominent with Adam’s Tara (Barry Adams) also a chance.
The best bet is Quick Advance in race eight.
Trained at Norwood by evergreen trainer Robert Grubb he is looking for his fourth win in a row after a win in Hobart and two wins at Devonport in quick times.
Although he has drawn box eight he is an above average beginner and should be too good.
