BRIGHTON trainer Paul Jones is taking a step-by-step attitude with his promising three-year-old Molvivre despite the gelding have won two of his only six starts.

Molvivre (Savoir Vivre-Miss Molik) notched his second win at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart today, scoring comfortably from the heavily backed favourite Encosta De Legend with Kylie’s Run a closing third some distance astern.

Punters put their faith in Encosta De Legend despite her having to combat a wide barrier draw but in the end it was to prove too big an obstacle to overcome.

Molvivre (Shannon Brazil) showed great early speed to eventually find the front and once there Brazil rated the gelding superbly.

When she gave her charge more rein at the top of the home straight he burst clear and had to winning break when he hit the 200-metre peg.

Encosta De Legend rattled home but the three-year-old filly couldn’t muster enough to get the upper hand.
