JUST Jet Power returned to form with an impressive all the way win over 515 metres at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston last week.

The Susan Gittus-trained bitch was having her second start since resuming from a n injury-enforced lay-off.

She stopped the clock at 30.04s which was the best of all the grade five winners on the night.

Just Jet Power injured her monkey muscle in a heat of the Right Price Meats Cup in Hobart in early January, which led to a five-month break.

She resumed with an unplaced run from an unsuitable wide draw in Hobart and then backed up with a luckless fourth in Launceston prior to last week’s win, also from a wide box.

“She definitely prefers an inside box because she is a mad railer and tonight she made the most of box two,” Gittus said.

“When she first came to me from Paul Felgate’s she showed a lot of ability so hopefully she can stay injury free and realise her potential, “she said.

This was her first win from 12 starts for Gittus but she expects her to keep winning whenever she draws close to the fence.
