BROADMARSH-based trainer Brendan McShane spent countless hours planning a race program for his quality three-year-old Keep The Cash that could get him to the Tasmanian Guineas stress free.
At Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last Saturday Keep The Cash clinched his berth in the Tasmanian Guineas with an emphatic win in a benchmark 68 race over 1400 metres.
Keep The Cash ($4.10f) settled midfield and improved gradually with stable apprentice Bulent Muhcu aboard.
When Muhcu called on the gelded son of Keep The Faith to extend in the home straight he responded magnificently and went on to defeat Unoaked by almost a length with Isometry a length away third and just in advance of Gathering Gold.
