PROMISING two-year-old Keep The Cash kept his unbeaten record intact when he scored an emphatic win in the BJ’s Printing Systems 2YO Handicap over 1100 metres in Launceston last night.
Keep The Cash (Keep The Faith-Dash Cash) settled just off the pace and when rider Casey Bruce called on he gelding to extend in the home straight he sprinted to the leaders and went on to score comfortably over Summer Downs and What Life Brings.
At his only other start Keep The Cash, prepared at Broadmarsh by Brendan McShane, won at Tattersall’s Park on Hobart Cup day and he obviously learnt from that experience as he was extremely relaxed in the parade ring and went about his business in the ace like a seasoned professional.
With three feature 2YO races remaining on the calendar McShane has his eyes on the 1200-metre classic in Hobart next month and possibly the Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m in Launceston in May.
