CRANBOURNE trainer Mick Kent will make a decision tomorrow on whether his stayer Aggregator will make the trip to Tasmania to contest next Monday’s Betfair Exchange Hobart Cup over 2400m.
Kent said Aggregator was in good order but that he had had only three runs leading up to the Hobart Cup might be a concern.
Aggregator has had three starts this preparation with the latest a fifth of 10 in a benchmark 84 race over 2406m at Caulfield won by the Pat Carey-trained All I Survey that also is nominated for the Hobart Cup.
Meanwhile Tony McEvoy has confirmed none of his four nominations, Lucky Lucky Lucky, Azurite, Last Wish and Loncava, would be acceptors.
Chris Waller remains undecided on whether he will send one of his three nominated for the race that includes Vilanova that won the Tattersall’s Club Cup (2400m) at Randwick on New Year’s Day and has subsequently been given top weight of 59kg for the Hobart Cup.
Of the 27 horses nominated for the Hobart Cup it would appear only 21 remain in contention for a berth in the final field of 17 of which 10 are local hopes.
