FOLLOWERS of the Late Mail service for the Hobart meeting last Thursday night celebrated a big win when Kilty’s Flyer led almost all the way to take out the Rosemead Juvenile Graduation Stake over 599 metres.
Kilty’s Flyer led throughout and paid a hefty $8.60 on the Tote after as much as $12 was bet with Tattsbet fixed odds.
The Brendan Browning-trained dog had been racing well of late over the shorter distances but was coming off a creditable fourth over 600 metres in Launceston.
It was the Launceston run that convinced the Late Mail tipster to put the son of Kilty Lad on top in what looked an open race.
Kilty’s Flyer showed brilliance from the boxes to lead comfortably and he slipped three lengths clear at the tom turn.
He started to fade close to home but had enough in reserve to defeat Tan Tiki by a half-length with the reserve China Power two lengths away third.
Kilty’s Flyer has now won three and been placed five times from 20 starts.
