TASRACING has approved a request from the Launceston Greyhound Racing Club (LGRC) to conduct a 5 event programme on Wednesday night 16 June 2010 which will be run in conjunction with an eight event programme with the Launceston Pacing Club as a combined meeting.
All races will be covered by Sky Racing and the five greyhound races will be conducted as heats of an All-Age-Maiden Series which will culminate in a final at the LGRC’s meeting on Monday 28 June 2010.
This will be the third combined meeting this season and follows the success of the previous combined meetings at The Tote Racing Centre on 23 November 2009 and Tattersall’s Park on 22 February 2010.
Tasracing’s Chief Racing Officer, David Fisher, said he was pleased to announce approval for the combined meeting after the success and popularity of the previous meetings.
The nominations and field selection for the greyhound races will be conducted on Thursday 10 June 2010 so as not to impact on the nominations for the North West Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting on Tuesday 15 June 2010.
The races will be funded from within the allocated stakes budget for the 2009/10 season.
