A nine event program will be staged at UBET Park, Hobart on Sunday evening by the Tasmanian Pacing Club. The races are named after people connected with the club over many years.

Licinia was impressive with her fast finishing narrow win a fortnight ago at the Hobart track and should continue on her winning way in the Terry Austin Pace. The New South Wales four year old daughter of Changeover and the Holmes Hanover mare Von Rite, was having her first start in the state. Licinia has won six times, with two placings from only thirteen lifetime starts, with a win at Newcastle in 1:56.9 in a 1609 metre race. Licinia is trained by Nathan Ford and will be driven by Dylan Ford.

Faithful Jet has finished a close second at his last two starts and should get back in the winners list in the A G Johnson Pace. His two previous starts were from a handicap in standing start races and back to the front line in a mobile should suit him. Faithful Jet has raced 28 times for five wins and ten placings. He is a six year old bay gelding by Jereme’s Jet from the good winner Faithful Sally, a daughter of Village Jasper that has also produced ten race winner Faithful Gabby. Faithful Jet is trained by Melissa Maine and will be driven by the state leading reinsman Gareth Rattray.

Future Promises is having his first start in the state since coming from Queensland in the Ken Austin Pace. The four year old gelded son of Jereme’s Jet and the Albert Albert mare All Promises, has not raced since finishing third beaten five metres, at Albion Park in June. The race was run at a 1:56.8 rate. Future Promises has raced on 20 occasions for three wins and seven placings, and will line up in a winnable race on Sunday night. He is trained by Paul Ashwood of Wesley Vale and will be driven by Gareth Rattray.

If former top juvenile Rusty Red Comet is ever going to win another race it should be in the R J Walsh Pace. Drawn in barrier one he should have the run of the race in a field with limited recent form. Rusty Red Comet has raced on 35 occasions for six wins and 18 placings. He a five year old gelding by Riverboat King from Ima Bartgirl, a daughter of Silent Spring. He is trained by Eric Jacobson and will be driven by Rodney Ashwood.
