PROMISING three-year-old pacer Lilbitachicknfried will be aimed at the state’s rich three-year-old sires stakes feature the Globe Derby Stakes after scoring another impressive win in Hobart on Sunday night.
Lilbitachicknfried (Elsu-Flo Jo Fernandez) settled at the tail of the field in the Firewood Hotline 3YO pace (2090m) while Majestic Art led with Metro Master on the leader’s back.
Hillier eased Lilbitachicknfried out three-wide heading down the back stretch and was outside of the leaders turning for home.
When he released the reins the gelded son of Elsu burst clear of the pack and went on to score by eight metres from Metro Master with majestic Art seven metres away third and just in advance of Speedmaker.
It was Lilbitachickfried’s second win from only three starts and he probably should be unbeaten as his second to Maybe Doc in Launceston at his second start was marred by interference.
Lilbitachicknfried is owned by his trainer in partnership with his twin brother Troy Hillier, Danny Bennett and Andrew Baxter who all have an equal share in the gelding’s dam Flo Jo Fernandez.
