LOCAL VIEW (Barcia Bale-Miss Roman Nose) made it a clean sweep of the feature races at UBET Park Hobart last Thursday night for his trainer Ted Medhurst when he powered his way to an impressive win in the St Leger over 461 metres.
He began brilliantly from box four to share the lead with the speedy Next Matador and they matched motors to the home turn where Medhurst’s slipped into overdrive.
Local View went on to defeat his kennel mate Lorus Time by over three lengths with next Matador hanging on for third almost a length astern.
Local View covered the 461 metres in a slick 25.90 with splits of 5.07 and 11.21.
