Looting Enforcer steals win over distance

LOOTING ENFORCER for Invermay trainer Eileen Thomas made it win number five in Tasmania with a polished front running display in the Advocate Mixed 4 & 5 grade over the 580m at Devonport yesterday.

This son of Black Enforcer jumped brilliantly from the red to lead clearly and was never headed on his way to a 3/4 length win over Lenny James who was second all the way with favourite Wata Smartie running third a further 1 3/4 away third.

With sectionals of 14.82, 19.88 and overall time of 33.75, Thomas will be looking at a Grade 4 middle distance race in the near future.

Owned by Jarrod Cooper in Mildura, Looting Enforcer has now won five in Tasmania from just ten starts and should be followed with confidence as he continues to improve.

Thomas brought up a double with Launceston 278m record holder How Many Times winning the Betta Milk Mixed 3 & 4.

Showing alot of heart this daughter of Surf Lorian chased early leader Fighter Fuel taking up the running off the back.

Odds on favourite Topline Usain looked to have her measure on the home turn when he switched to her inside but she held on up the striaght to win by 3/4 with Latro slipping into third place a further 1 1/4 lengths back.

How Many Times has now had fifteen starts in Tasmania for Queensland owner Phil Farrugia for four wins and nine placings.

Veteran Fisherman continues to astound with another victory in the Invitation.

At his ninety eigth start he brought up victory number thirty three being sent out at the amazing odds of $5.70 for Acton trainer Mark Sutcliffe.

With odds on favourite Galtee Again checked out the back early, Beau Joker set a cracking pace with splits of 7.98 and 12.74.

Fisherman caught him at the top of the straight and held off the fast finishing Samurai Kid and the Steven Hutt trained Aries in the run to the line stopping the clock at 25.86.
