HARNESS trainer Paul Belcher is confident his four-year-old mare Loves A Beach can keep her unbeaten record this season intact when she takes on handy field of C2-C3 performers in the Tasracing.com.au Pace over 2090 metres on Sunday night.

At her first start this preparation Loves A Beach was very impressive in winning last Monday week in Hobart with Natalee Emery aboard and Belcher says the mare could be even more impressive on Sunday night.

“The mare is still improving and I think we’ll see something special on Sunday night,” Belcher said.

“She could probably have taken at least a second off what she ran her last half (800m) last start and she’s improved a lot from that run,” he said.

The plan is to take the mare to Devonport on December 13 for the opening meeting of the V75 Tasmanian Harness Carnival where she will contest the $20,000 Lemonthyme Lodge Leigh Plunkett which is one of three feature races on the opening night of the carnival.
