MAKE US RICHO repaid his trainer Andrew Moore for his perseverance with a decisive win in a maiden/class one over 2100m at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston today.
With Kim Moore in the saddle, Make Us Richo settled third behind pacemakers Baumgartner and Dartel and when Moore decided to let her charge stride forward she slipped him up along the rails and burst clear turning for home.
Make Us Richo went on to score comfortably from Baumgartner and Dartel with Setoni a close-up fourth.
Moore purchased the gelding “sight unseen”: but he son found the gelding had problems that proved to be difficult to manage.
But he persevered and at his 13th attempt the gelded son of Danerich gave Moore what he was seeking.
Listen to what trainer Andrew Moore had to say about make Us Richo’s win.
