IN-FORM middle distance greyhound Mandy Charm looks set to add another win to her growing list of victories when she steps out in the Rapid Rub Stakes (race four) over 599 metres at UBET Park Hobart tonight.
Mandy Charm demolished a juvenile-graduation field over this distance last week and despite going up sharply in grade she is racing in career best form and only needs to replicate last week’s effort to win again.
The Ted Medhurst-trained bitch travelled to Launceston last Monday and while she finished sixth in the Division 2 final of the J G Nelson Cup series behind kennel mate Local View she is a better performer on the Hobart track having won five of her eight starts on the U-turn track.
The main danger looks to be the Mick Stringer-trained Painted Dotty with Outskirts and Locknane Oscar also worthy of consideration.
Meanwhile Mandy Charm’s kennel mate Jen Zarr Go (Collision-Fast Liner) lines up for an attempt to make it back-to-back wins when he tackles a grade four event over 461 metres (race five).
Jen Zarr Go won a grade five last week in Hobart from box eight but should be better suited by the inside alley tonight.
Punters looking for some value tonight might have something each-way on Lou James in race six.
The Amanda Grice-trained dog will wear the pink vest and only needs to jump with them to be a contender at the business end of the race.
