Martello Towers (R1) should get punter’s off on the right note at Tattersall’s Park tonight. Having his first start this son of Bombastic Shiraz was a good third to Hifive Marsha only beaten a length and was certainly doing his best work at the finish after crossing to the rail early.

Trainer Gary Fahey has been enjoying success of late with littermates Bastille Border (R2), Silver Strand (R4) and Shadow Reef, all appear to have their fair share of ability and should be followed with confidence as they rise through their grades. Martello Towers with any luck should bring up his first win. Hardest to beat should be Country Bumpkin while Surf Osti has been knocking on the door of late.

The Vet’s Series Medley Final should be a hard fought affair with a lot of chances.

Silent Giggle’s back to back victories in the heats were impressive and deserves to be prepost favourite.

Intense Suspense appears to be back better than ever thanks to the polish of Rod Ransley and looks the value while Shanlyn Charlie and Megastar Spargo must be taken in trebles and quaddies.

Hellyeah Stella (R7) could be one at odds after a brilliant all the way win at Launceston Monday Night.

Best Bets: R1 No 6 Martello Towers, R2 No 7 Bastille Border, R4 No 2 Silver Strand.

Best E/W: R5 No 2 Jennifer Ellen, R6 No 6 Intense Suspense, R9 No 8 Silent Witch.
