LIGHTLY raced four-year-old pacer Biggernbettermax kept his unbeaten record this season intact when he defied a tough run facing the breeze to take out the Tiz A Masterpiece Stakes (Division 1) over 2090 metres at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart tonight (Sunday).

Biggernbettermax was having only his ninth career start with this his sixth win and arguably his best since his two-year-old days.

The Barrie Rattray-trained gelding was began fairly from his front row draw and after working three-wide for a short distance his driver Gareth Rattray urged him forward to settle outside of the leader.

Whet the driver called on the son of Modern Art to extend in the homer straight he forged clear and went on to defeat Harbhajan by three metres with Crash Cart a head away third.

Biggernbettermax had only three starts as a two-year-old for two wins and a second and last season he was only lightly raced, winning two of only four starts.
