GET It Right signalled her arrival as a pup to follow with a game win in a heat of the Young Star Classic over 461 metres at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart last Thursday night.

Get It Right began well from box eight in a small field of five to land just behind the leader Buckle Up Fletch as they made their way to the top turn.

The Ted Medhurst-trained bitch moved alongside the leader turning for home to stake her claim but that’s when the well backed Ireland’s Force powered home along the rails to grab the lead.

However, Get It Right dug deep over the concluding stages to get up in the last few strides to defeat Ireland’s Force with Buckle Up Fletch hanging on for third ahead of Buckle Up Tango.

The heavily backed Izon Destruction that had won two on the Hobart track capitulated to finish a clear last to miss a berth in the final.

Get It Right, owned by George Christides, has had five starts for two wins.

She is only 19 months old and looks set for a bright future.

It was a double celebration for the trainer and owner as they combined to win the remaining heat with Star Chamber that has an even brighter future.

Star Chamber made a mess of the start from the inside box (1) but quickly mustered speed to make a line of three at the top turn.

The dog then put the pedal to the metal and slipped clear.

Once balanced in the home straight he powered clear and went on to win by over four lengths from Boston Heart with Brutal Force a distant third.

Star Chamber stopped the clock at 26.02 while his kennel mate get It Right ran the 461 metres in 26.23.

Star Chamber fared well at the barrier draw coming up with the pink vest that should suit even more than the inside alley that he drew to win his heat.

Ireland’s Force came up with the cherry but will need to begin better to have an impact in the final while Get It Right will have to contend with box six.
