THE combined greyhound-harness meeting scheduled at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight had to be abandoned due an electrical fault.
The greyhound meeting was the first to be abandoned due to lure failure that was attached to a lighting issue.
At one stage it looked as if the harness meeting would proceed but further issues with the lighting system led to chief harness steward Shane Larking making the call to postpone the meeting.
The Launceston Greyhound Club and the Launceston Pacing Club are hopeful of having the meetings rescheduled this week.
