MIDORI NITRO celebrated her first win with a courageous effort to take out the Winning Edge Juvenile over 461 metres in Hobart last Thursday night.
The Gary Johnson-trained bitch began well from box five to share the led to the top turn with Winklee Sand but looked likely to settle for a minor placings well into the home straight.
But when the going got tough the little bitch showed her courage to grind her way back into the race and eventually forge clear to defeat Winklee Sand by just over a length with Baron Impact a length away third.
Midori Nitro (Nitro Burst-Midori Dream) went into the race having had eight starts for only one minor placing but she had been racing without much luck.
Maybe the penny has dropped and if so she could be spending more time in the winner’s circle.
