FORMER Victorian greyhound Shanlyn Peanut has taken a shine to Tasmania with her wins at her most recent outings prompting trainer Graeme Moate to predict big things for the daughter of Slater.
Shanlyn Peanut was placed at her first two starts in Tasmania before breaking through for a win in a grade four event over 461 metres and in the best timer of the night on the Hobart circuit.
She followed up with another impressive win last night (Thursday) but this time at Invitation level but it was the same result.
Shanlyn Peanut began well from box three and after a matching strides with Penny’s Angel, magic Moss and Katsidis, she gained the upper hand turning for home and went on to score impressively from Magic Moss with Penny’s Angel third.
Unfortunately Shanlyn Peanut was not qualified to be nominated for the upcoming state heats of the National Sprint series.
