Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale graduate Bunchloch added his name to the growing list of interstate feature race winners from the island state’s sales by winning the Murtoa Cup on Saturday.

In winning over 2050 metres the gelding defeated 2014 Tasmanian Derby runner up Rainbow Storm by ½ head.

The Tasmanian sale in the past week has produced  The Cleaner (JRA Cup 2040m), Like A Carousel (Harry White Classic 2400m), Kenjorwood (Caulfield 1700m) and not quite in their league Bunchloch has proven to be a bargain buy.

Bunchloch a 5yo bay gelding from West Quest out of the dam Coming At You, is a graduate of the 2011 sale and was purchased by Terry & Karina O’Sullivan for $14,000.

Bunchloch has managed to win 6 races in his career so far and prizemoney of just over $100,000. The gelding’s most significant win to date was in the 2014 $50,000 Colac Cup.

Coming At You is a half sister to former topline Tasmanian galloper Braequest (Listed Tasmanian Stakes) and has had six named foals for two winners being Bunchloch and promising 4yo Incum Coming.

The 2015 Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale will be conducted in Launceston on Thursday 12 February.
