Locally trained Buckle Up Myke has won only one of his thirteen Devonport starts but everything points to him being very hard to beat in race ten this afternoon.
He carried the red jacket when he won in 26.05 and today’s opposition doesn’t appear to be overly strong so the same box draw could be a pointer to his winning chances.
Wynyard owned and trained chaser Sir Sonic looks the one to beat in race six.
A winner of three races at Devonport, he had been racing below his best until returning to form with a solid last start Hobart win. From box one he could be a bit too slick for his opposition as his best winning time is 25.59.
Also on today’s card are five heats of the Vetsearch Tasbred All Age Maiden with several well bred youngsters having their first starts.
