Sydney-based owner Joe O’Neil of Prime Thoroughbreds left the track confident his three-year-old Not Another Red was on track to follow in the footsteps of his well performed older brother Too Many Reds.
Not Another Red, prepared at Runnymede by Tasmanian Hall of Fame trainer Charlie Goggin, showed a brilliant turn of foot at the top of the home straight to blow his rivals away in a class one handicap over 1000 metres with apprentice Siggy Carr aboard.
It was the Magic Albert gelding’s second win from only seven starts and O’Neill said he was confident the horse had a bright future.
“The Magic Alberts take time and this one is no exception,” O’Neill said.
