George Town trainer Darryl Fitzsimmons takes three runners to Launceston on Monday night, two of which will contest heats of the Hobart Thousand on Thursday night.

Notorious Tiger ($2.35) looks the one to beat in the last event on the card, a Grade 5 event of the 278-metre trip.

The Dyna Double One – Prancing Tiger dog finished down the track from box seven last week, and comes up with box two on Monday, a box where he has had seven starts for three wins and three placings.

He has a best time over the 287 metres of 16.33 which he recorded on 3 February, also from box two.

The chaser will then contest heat six of the Hobart Thousand on Thursday where he has drawn box seven.

In race eight Fitzsimmons puts the polish on Anndar Warrior ($7.50) who has drawn box eight.

A Launceston winner over the 515 metres three starts ago, the Sh Avatar – Tifia bitch has won three races and been placed on eight occasions in a 35-start career but is yet to finish amongst the placegetters in nine starts from the four outside boxes.

She will contest heat five of the Hobart Thousand on Thursday where she has drawn box three.

Trending Now ($3.10) engaged in race four is the first runner for the George Town trainer on Monday night, a Grade four over 297 metres, where the chaser has a strong winning chance.

The Swift Fancy – Sudden Outburst bitch has won five of her 20 starts and has been runner up in two of her last three efforts, the most recent was in Launceston last Monday when defeated 3/4L behind Bucephalus where she ran 16.23 for the 278 metres.

Trending Now’s most recent win was over the 340 metres in Hobart five starts ago.

Other runners racing tonight contesting heats of the Hobart Thousand include; Tah Rosie (Race 4), Lily Lola (Race 6), I’m A Dominator (Race 6) and Headwall (Race 8).

In good news, all heats of the Hobart Thousand will see a $2,500 trifecta jackpot on the local tote.

Monday night’s Launceston card commences at 19:31.
