Victorian mare My Temptation to the races let along back to winning form.

But at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart yesterday (Tuesday) the mare won at only her second try for Richardson and the trainer was quick to suggest she had a future in her adopted state.

With Eddie Brennen in the saddle, My Temptation raced handy to the speed and when called on for the supreme effort at the business end of the race she gave her all to score by just under a length from Mannerbu with Divine decree a game third.

My Temptation has been in the c are of Richardson for about six months and her debut Tasmanian performance was good enough to suggest she might have a future.

She was second in Hobart on September 25 but looked to have the race in her keeping 100 metres out, only to be run down by Reach The Moon in the closing stages.

It was the second leg of a winning double for Eddie Brennen who also partnered the Harriet Paul-trained Showing The Faith to victory in the Nissan Fleet 3YO & Upwards Maiden Plate over 1400m.

It was Brennen’s first double in almost a year.
