VICTORIAN trainer Patrick Payne secured an early lot at today’s Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale in Launceston today.
Payne paid $38,000 for a colt by Zoffany from the Spartacus mare Helsinki Jones that was trained by Gary White during her racing career.
Spreyton trainer Adam Trinder bid on Payne’s behalf as the Victorian trainer was committed to an interstate trip on the day of the sale.
Lot 2 was sold on behalf of Andrew Snanlon and Frank McCrossen.
