LAST week’s sound effort in Hobart should have the lightly raced bitch Miss Pisces ready to win at Tattersall’s Park tonight.

Miss Pisces resumed last week with a brave second behind the in form Baron Impact and looks a sound proposition in the first at Elwick tonight.

This daughter of Fabregas trained by Ted Medhurst has only had nine starts for a win at Devonport and four minor placings.

Roadhouse Lass looms as the main danger while Wild Intention and Moving Money look next best.

Posh Fire (R4) is racing in great form and the longer trip (599m) poses no threat for this son of Bit Chili.

Prince Solo and Posh Renee loom as the main opposition.

The time honoured Tattsbet Maiden Thousand (R6) looks hard for punters to sort out with the box draw making it difficult for both Reddington and Outskirts.

The Brendan Pursell trained pair of I’ve Got Class and Despicable Todd have raced well throughout the series and loom as dogs to follow over the next few months.

Work It for Michael Sutcliffe could be worth a ticket each way at big odds jumping from box one.

Best Bets: R1 No 5 Miss Pisces, R4 No 5 Posh Fire, R7 No 1 Lakerville.
Best E/W: R6 No 1 Work It, R8 No 7 Rylee’s Rogue, R11 No 6 Bold Intention.
