This was to be the penultimate meeting on the synthetic before a return to the grass, but with the Hobart program on 20 September transferred, the racing will remain at Devonport for the rest of the month.
By the time we next race on the grass, scheduled to be 4 October, there will have been 10 consecutive synthetic meetings and being over half way through that stretch most of the form is fairly exposed.
