After an 11 day break, thoroughbred racing returns in Launceston on Sunday with the running of the Kevin Sharkie Tasmanian Oaks program. Following the Strutt Stakes on Ladbrokes Hobart Cup Day, the re-match of Still A Star and Mystical Pursuit has been highly anticipated and we will get that on Sunday. Six of the eight runners are trained outside of Tasmania and they’ll be looking to upset the highly fancied locals.
The two Magic Millions features have attracted quality fields with Deroche a surprise acceptor and it looks as though she’ll be attempting to win on Sunday before backing up in the Vamos this week.
