The annual Cressy Chaff Cutters Longford Cup program opens 2021 for racing in Tasmania, the only TAB meeting for the year run at the track.
The size of the track and number of horse stalls limit the number of runners at the meeting with all races capped at eight with the exception of the Cup where 10 runners will face the judge.
Longford is a tight track that doesn’t necessarily favour leaders but the home straight is very short so runners are generally on their bike well before the home turn. All races are over 1400m or 1800m and fine weather is forecast for the first day of 2021.
