The Final of the Laurels & St Leger highlight a strong eleven program at Elwick tonight.

In the Laurels Final (R5), Baretta Bee and Pretty in Blue look set to fight out the finish.

With only a head separating them both in the heat last week it will be a toss of the coin to see who gets the best start.

Leaning towards Baretta Bee if she can get in a good position early with speed coming from both Spendles and Roo’s Blue on her outside.

In the St Leger Final (R7), Wandy Neg looks all class for Mangalore trainer Mick Stringer. Unbeaten in Tasmania winning his last two and with a best time of 26.02 this son of El Galo only needs an ounce of luck at box rise to maintain his winning form.

Pendle Beri and Pudzianowski will be the hardest to hold out.

Centennial Bark (R6) for Goodwood trainer Graeme Moate is in a purple patch of form and looks very hard to beat in tonight’s Invitation. Jumping from three this son of Run the Risk was beaten a length at his last start here by Innisfree Miss, but his win at Launceston on Monday night was chock full of confidence as he sprinted away for a 4 1/2 length victory.

Mojito will start favourite with a pb of 25.81 and will be the hardest to hold out. Lucky Norris (R10) looks a best bet while Jonah Hex will be good each way value in the last leg of the quadrella.

Best Bets: R1 No 2 Hollyheath, R7 No 4 Wandy Neg, R10 No 1 Lucky Norris.

Best E/W: R4 No 8 Shanlyn Joaney, R6 No 3 Centennial Bark, R11 No 6 Cash Lyrics.
