Rewind makes his return to the racing at Devonport today after finishing another game second in a Hobart Thousand.
Tasmania’s best greyhound will be a big drawcard at today’s North West Greyhound Racing Club’s twilight meeting.
Fresh from his gallant second to Blackalls Boss in the Hobart Thousand Final, Rewind will jump from box five in the seventh event.
A winner of 17 of his 24 Devonport starts he should be too good for his opposition with another Hobart Thousand finalist in Burnt Fuse perhaps the biggest threat.
Two outstanding southern trained chasers in Bob Brown Memorial winner Emerald Lee and Hobart Thousand finalist Dark Warrior also add plenty of class to what is a very strong programme.
Emerald Lee, a winner of 16 races from 24 starts is unbeaten on the Devonport track, winning at each of her three starts on the one-turn circuit.
Emerald Lee will jump from box five in race six.
Dark Warrior’s only defeat from eight starts was his fourth in the Hobart Thousand final and he is also unbeaten at Devonport, winning both starts. He is awkwardly drawn in box six in race ten but he is still the one to beat.
The first of eleven races today will commence at 3.42 with the last set for decision at 7.04.
