REWIND Vs FENCER

10 / 07 / 2012 Article by: Editor

The feature of the North West Greyhound Racing Clubs eleven event program today is the rematch of top chasers Rewind and I’m A Fencer.

Last week I’m A Fencer, having his first start since February, began very well and along with Irinka Julia reeled off brilliant early sections which led to him stopping the clock at 25.41.

Rewind, although outpaced early, battled on strongly to go down by 2.25 lengths. I’m A Fencer will jump from box five, the same as last week, while Rewind goes out one to box three so the start will more than likely hold the key to the end result.

After recording brilliant early sections before finishing third to I’m A Fencer and Rewind, beaten 3.5 lengths, Irinka Julia drops to a Grade 3 in race seven today and from box one looks very hard to beat, although opposed to three sub 25.80 winners.

Having gone several weeks without a 580 metre race, the first two today will be run over this distance.
