AFTER a brilliant Tasmanian debut two weeks ago, well bred dog Riverdance Kid kept his unbeaten Tassie record intact with another superb gallop last Thursday night.
Riverdance Kid was brilliant on debut clocking 26.05 at his first look at the Hobart circuit but his second attempt was even more flattering.
While his time (26.36sec) was slower than his first attempt (26.05) this latest effort was on a seriously rain affected track.
The Keith Nichols-trained dog fired from box eight like a dart and he had the rails before they reached the top turn.
Once on the bunny he powered clear of his rivals and went on to defeat the consistent Beijing Bond and Cope that held the lead for the first 50 metres.
Riverdance Kid has the potential to make it to the top of the heap and trainer Keith Nichols knows what it takes to get a dog into that sphere.
