TASMANIAN trainer Wayne Curran’s vehicle that was floating his two runners to Tattersall’s Park today was involved in an accident on the Midland Highway.

Curran’s two runners at the meeting Gotta Have Vibe and Torriann Express had to be scratched from their respective races.

“One horse was playing up a bit but it seemed that the float wheels locked and skidded and the next thing the float was screaming past us and on the opposition side of the road,” said Curran who was clearly shaken by the incident.

Police arrived at the scene at 10.15 am to begin their investigation into the accident closely followed by a veterinarian to attend to the horses.
