LONGFORD thoroughbred trainer Bill Ryan will be banking on a stable quinella in the two-year-old maiden at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart on Sunday.

Sentimental Dream and Dance Thru France both trialed at Longford yesterday and delivered good enough performances to suggest they will be very competitive on debut.

Sentimental Dream won his trial while Dance Thru France finished second in his outing but beaten by a narrow margin,

Leading jockey Brendon McCoull rode both and he is likely to partner Sentimental Dream as that gelded son of Telesto-Why For clocked the quicker time of the two, running the 700-metre trip in 40.93 seconds compared to 41.85 recorded by his stablemate Dance Thru France that was edged out by Col’s Hero that is prepared by John Keys at Wesley Vale.

Sentimental Dream was bred by Armidale Stud and knocked down to Ryan for $19,000 at last year’s Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
