LIGHTLY raced dog Samurai Kid looks set to make it two wins from his only three race starts when he tackles a juvenile over 461 metres at Tattersall’s Park tonight (Thursday).
Samurai Kid (Bond-Capetown Star) debuted with a win in a Devonport Breeder’s Classic qualifying heat and followed up with a luckless third in a semi-final that was won by the eventual Breeder’s Classic winner Winklee Warrior.
But Samurai Kid proved his worth when he won a juvenile race on the Breeder’s Classic program from box four.
In fact all of his starts have been wearing the blue vest but tonight he will start from box three
He appears to be improving with every start and while there are some promising chasers in tonight’s race he should gave the edge because of his good early speed.
One of his main rivals is kennel mate and litter sister Capetown Gem, that while finishing beyond midfield I both of her outings she should get a clear run to the first turn from box six as she has shown a tendency to want to race wide at her only two starts.
The Anthon y Bullock-trained Kialdu Donna showed improvement last start when third to Zooper in Launceston and from box two she could improve without surprising.
