Second Innings (R5), trained at Rokeby by Ian Callinan, is a smart beginner and from box one should lead for a long way at UBET Park tonight. Owned by Ricky Ponting and father and son John and Tim Quill this Dyna Lachlan pup has run well at his first two starts. Hardest to beat will be Poltergeist for Russell Watts and Cassa Black for Ricky Martin.
Family Prince (R7) also has the coveted cherry and he will appreciate that draw despite some serious opposition. The litter is going extremely well for Ted Devine and this pup has been a model of consistency. Arctic Posh and Sapphire Quest will be his main opposition.
Katey Roman (R9) for Loira’s Paul Hili is a rising star and has blistering early pace, although she will be short it is better than bank interest.
