Mason Pines (R1) for Exeter trainer Anthony Bullock is a much improved chaser and despite his slow starts he will be very hard to hold out in the opening race at Tattersall’s Park tonight. Having had twenty one starts for three wins and seven placings, this son of Lochinvar Marlow, jumps from the pink and this should give him plenty of room to motor. The Gary Johnson duo of Get Up Alvin and Part Time Pete will be the hardest to beat.
Pa Glass (R2) ran a solid debut when second over 340m here last week and gets his chance to breakthrough in this moderate maiden. This NSW bred High Earner pup is trained by Shane Whitney and should be followed with confidence over the coming months. Origin Decider ran a nice second at Launceston while Urana Bolt and Night Keeper should make up the multiples.
Shanty Town Lad (R9) is coming off a sub 30 second win at Launceston on Monday and is capable of leading all the way.
